Brevo MCP plus Mitr MCP: see what your email campaigns do after the click

Email tools tell you who opened and clicked. Analytics tools tell you what visitors did on the site. The question that matters, did this campaign bring anyone who signed up?, sits between the two, and people usually answer it by exporting two spreadsheets.

Brevo and Mitr both have MCP servers, so one assistant, such as Claude, can read both and answer in one conversation.

Brevo documents an official server at mcp.brevo.com, with a module for each area: contacts, lists, segments, email campaigns, campaign analytics, templates, SMS, WhatsApp, CRM and more. You can connect the full server or one module, such as contacts or campaigns, which keeps the tool list short.

This is the part that joins the two. Every link to your site in a campaign should carry the same tags:

  • utm_source=brevo
  • utm_medium=email
  • utm_campaign=october_launch

Use the same utm_campaign value as the campaign’s name in Brevo, so the assistant can match the two sides without guessing.

Step 2: connect both servers

For Mitr, create a key with only the read permission, or use the one-click connect from Claude. The MCP setup guide has both.

For Brevo, create an MCP token under Account > SMTP & API > API Keys, then follow Brevo’s MCP guide for your client. Brevo’s page describes a single MCP option when you create the token and does not describe separate read and write permissions, so treat the token as powerful. Connecting only the modules you need limits what the assistant can see and do.

Step 3: ask across both

  1. “Pull the performance of my October launch campaign from Brevo, then get the visitors and signups for october_launch from Mitr. Which part of the funnel lost the most people?”
  2. “Compare my last three email campaigns: click rate from Brevo against signup rate from Mitr.”
  3. “How many email visitors arrived with no campaign tag?”

The third matters. If a lot of email traffic has no UTM tags, the campaign table in Mitr covers only part of it, and the assistant should say so.

Reading the numbers honestly

  • Clicks are not visits. Brevo counts a click when someone follows the link. Mitr counts a visit when the page loads and the script runs. Blocked scripts, bots and quick back-clicks open that gap, so expect Mitr’s number to be lower.
  • Opens are unreliable. Mail apps that preload images inflate open rates, so judge campaigns on clicks and conversions.
  • Attribution is first touch. Mitr credits a signup to the campaign that first brought the visitor, even if they came back later through search.

What to keep out of the chat

Brevo holds personal data: email addresses, names, attributes. Mitr is built so it does not. Everything either server returns goes into the assistant’s conversation, so avoid prompts like “list the subscribers who clicked”. Ask for counts, rates and comparisons instead. Keep Brevo’s delete and send actions out of reach: ask the assistant to draft, then review and send from Brevo yourself.

For agencies

Connect one Mitr workspace and one Brevo account per client, in separate conversations, so one client’s data never sits next to another’s. The same three prompts then work for every account.

Frequently asked questions

Does Brevo have an official MCP server?

Yes. Brevo documents a first-party MCP server at mcp.brevo.com with 27 modules covering contacts, email campaigns, campaign analytics, SMS, WhatsApp, CRM and more. You create an MCP token in your Brevo account under SMTP and API keys.

What does each server tell the assistant?

Brevo knows who was emailed, who opened and who clicked. Mitr knows what visitors did on your site after arriving, such as which pages they saw and whether they signed up. Together the assistant can follow a campaign from send to signup.

How do the two connect?

Through UTM tags on the links in your emails. Brevo reports the send and the clicks. Mitr groups the visits that arrive with the same utm_campaign and counts the conversions.

Does Mitr see which subscriber clicked?

No. Mitr reports visitors in aggregate by campaign, source and medium. It does not receive Brevo's contact list, and Brevo does not receive your site visitors.

Can the assistant send a campaign for me?

Brevo's server can create and manage campaigns, so it may be able to. Ask it to draft only, review the result in Brevo, and send it yourself.
