What's in Mitr's weekly and monthly analytics email report

Most people only look at their analytics when something feels wrong. A weekly analytics email report flips that: the numbers arrive in your inbox on a schedule, so a slow week gets noticed even if you never opened the dashboard.

Mitr sends two such emails to every workspace owner, a weekly one and a monthly one. They’re on by default, they take no setup, and they cover every app connected to the workspace in one email.

When they arrive

ReportArrivesCovers
WeeklyMonday, 07:00 UTC (12:30 pm IST)The Monday to Sunday week that just ended
MonthlyThe 1st of the month, 07:00 UTCThe calendar month that just ended

Each email is sent once for its period, so a server restart never sends you a duplicate.

What’s in the email

  • Total events and unique visitors for the period.
  • Top 5 pages by page views.
  • Top 5 custom events by count.
  • The change from the previous period for both totals, compared with the immediately preceding week or month of the same length, so you can see at a glance whether you are up or down.
  • A per-app breakdown when the workspace has more than one connected app. With a single app this part is left out to keep the email short.

It’s a digest, not a dashboard. The aim is that you can read it in under a minute and know whether anything needs a closer look.

A note on “unique visitors”

Mitr counts visitors without cookies. That means a person who is not signed in and returns on a different day can look like a new visitor, because the identifier we derive for anonymous visitors changes every day by design. Treat the unique-visitor number as a good trend line, not a precise headcount. Signed-in users that your app identifies are counted consistently.

Who gets it, and how to switch it off

The report goes to the workspace owner’s email only. Open Settings in the dashboard and you’ll find the weekly and monthly reports as two separate switches, so you can keep one and drop the other.

What it deliberately doesn’t include

  • Revenue and funnel results. Funnels are something you define, and not every workspace has one, so the email stays a traffic and engagement summary.
  • A history of past reports. The email is the report. If you need an older week, the dashboard can show any date range.
  • Anything per-visitor. There’s nothing in it that identifies a person.

Reports and alerts do different jobs

The report tells you how the period went. If you’d rather be told the moment something looks wrong, that’s what traffic drop and spike alerts are for. Most people use both: the report for the weekly check-in and an alert as a safety net.

Start free and your first weekly report arrives the Monday after your first events do.

Frequently asked questions

When does the weekly analytics report arrive?

On Monday at 07:00 UTC, which is 12:30 pm in India. It covers the Monday to Sunday week that just ended. The monthly report arrives on the 1st of the month at 07:00 UTC and covers the calendar month that just ended.

Who receives the report?

The workspace owner's email address. Team members do not get a copy.

Can I turn the report off?

Yes. The weekly and monthly reports are separate switches in Settings and are both on by default.

Does the report include revenue or funnel results?

Not yet. It is a traffic and engagement digest: events, visitors, top pages, top events and the change from the previous period. Funnels are defined per workspace, so they are not part of the email.
